Pricing

Real numbers, before the visit.

Most integrators will not show a price until they have been to your house. We publish the starting points — and every installation price already includes the Canopy controller that runs the system.

Monthly care

Pay once to install.
Pay monthly to be looked after.

The app is included in every plan. The monthly fee buys the thing nobody else sells: someone watching the system and answering the phone.

Included in the price

Every installation includes the Canopy controller.

Canopy is our own unit — think of it as a small computer, about the size of a paperback, that sits in your switchboard and runs the system. It is included in the $699 / $999 / $1,599 installation price. There is no separate hardware charge and no rental fee — if people ask what it is, the honest answer is: it is just a little computer, and it is already paid for.

Assumes a C-Bus USB PC interface (5500PCU) or network bridge (5500CN / CNI) is already fitted. If not, that older interface is quoted separately (usually $400–$900) — Canopy replaces the need for it going forward. Above 120 channels we quote per project.
All on-site attendance after handover is charged at our standard call-out rate. The monthly plan covers monitoring, support tickets and remote help — not site visits.

What is included

No surprises on the invoice.

Always included

Travel within Greater Melbourne, programming, naming every room in both languages, handover walkthrough, and the app licence for one property.

Charged separately

Every on-site visit (call-out rate), hardware not already on site, additional circuits beyond the package, chasing or making good walls, and after-hours attendance.

Never charged

The free home check, a second opinion on an “end of life” quote, and the phone call where we tell you that you do not need us.

FAQ

Money questions.

Why is installation priced by channel count?

Because that is what actually drives the work. Thirty circuits can be named, tested and programmed in a few hours; a hundred and twenty takes a full day or two. Channel count is the honest unit, unlike “smart home package” pricing.

Can I cancel the monthly plan?

Yes, month to month. If you cancel, the app keeps working on your local network but we stop monitoring and stop answering. You can restart any time.

Do I have to take a care plan?

No. Plenty of clients take installation only. The plan exists because a C-Bus system with nobody watching it is exactly how these systems end up abandoned.

Is the free check really free?

Yes, within Greater Melbourne, and there is no obligation. If we think you do not need any work, we will say so.

Do you take payment plans?

For larger projects, yes — ask when we quote.

Send a photo of the switchboard and the channel count if you know it. We will come back with a fixed price, not a range.
